2021 NASW Virtual Advocacy Day

Join us July 22 for a Virtual Congressional Advocacy Day to help advance legislation that will strengthen the social work profession and our clients. You'll meet your congressional delegation to tell them your professional and personal experiences as a social worker in your community and as a constituent. NASW will schedule and prepare you for your meetings. You will receive a virtual briefing on the event, including talking points and materials. Among the legislation that you can help advance July 22 is the Improving Access to Mental Health Act (S. 870/H.R. 2035), which will increase Medicare reimbursement rates for clinical social workers (CSWs), increase access to mental health services for residents of skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and increase supports for Medicare beneficiaries coping with physical health conditions.
