During this presentation participants will: 1. Identify relatable emotional, behavioral, physiological response to grief by using Person-In-Environment (PIE) and Human Behavior in the Social Environment (HSBE). 2. Understanding different types of grief and natural reactions to provide accurate assessment and support through social work practices. 3. Apply evidence-based group interventions (e.g., CBT strategies, Worden’s Tasks of Mourning, and narrative approaches) when working with an individual experiencing grief. 4. Demonstrate trauma-informed and culturally responsive strategies that can effectively support and engage grieving clients. 5. Develop practical group-based interventions that will promote emotional well-being, coping strategies, and resilience. 6. Evaluate how effective grief interventions are when using outcome measures (participant feedback/survey, client symptom tracking, screeners/assessments, and/or client engagement) to improve group therapy. 1.00 General CEU hour.
