From school closure to remote instruction and somewhere in between, school social workers play a vital role in providing social-emotional support. School social work administrators assist by advocating for these professionals and establishing the systems needed for this work to happen. During this brief webinar, Dr. Scott will review lessons learned, best practices, and looming questions gleaned over the last year as we find our way through the COVID19 pandemic.

Learning Objectives:

  • To review a framework that school social workers may use to implement social-emotional supports to students in a blended environment.
  • To outline strategies that school social work administrators may use to support school social workers while teleworking and transitioning to our 'current reality.'
  • To convene a dialog about lessons learned, looming questions, and best practices for school social workers providing services in a blended environment school setting.
